Join Lois and experiment with free-motion quilting patterns used to quilt backgrounds. She will be referring to the book, Design Workbook for Gridded Backgrounds by Cindy Seitz-Krug which is available at our store. There are many backgrounds and great instructions on competing stunning background areas on a quilt.

Requirements:
Bring your machine and general sewing supplies.
2 18" x 18" quilt sandwiches. The top fabric should be a solid color.
Contrasting thread to top fabric.
Free-motion quilting foot.
Prior Class Preparation: Mark a half-inch grid on each of the top fabrics with a temporary marking pen.
