LN-OESD-ME-0319: Piecing in the Hoop
Enjoy making this easy patchwork pouch. The paper piecing is all done by
embroidery machine in two fun-to-stitch hoopings. This patchwork pouch
features an exposed zipper, and can be effortlessly tailored to almost any color
palette. You'll also learn how to utilize what you have learned to other paper
piecing projects.
This project is compatible with any machine with an embroidery capability of
5.5 x 5.5
Supply List:
Pouch Back Fabrics:
• Fabric A – Piece 1: 4 ½” x 3 ½”
• Fabric B – Piece 2: 4 ½” x 3 ½”
• Fabric C – Piece 3: 6” x 3”
Pouch Front Fabrics:
• Fabric A • Piece 2: 5” x 2” • Piece 5: 5” x 2”
• Fabric B • Piece 1: 6 ½” x 4” • Piece 4: 6 ½” x 4”
• Fabric C • Piece 3: 5” x 3” • Piece 6: 5” x 3”
Stabilizers:
• 2 pieces OESD Fuse and Fleece 10” x 15” or large enough to hoop
Notions:
• 14” zipper to match or contrast with fabric
Threads:
• Isacord thread in one color
• 6011 was used for sample but select a color that coordinates with your chosen fabrics
• Variegated colors would also work well
Other Supplies and Tools:
• Temporary Adhesive Spray
• Groz-Beckert Embroidery Needle Size 75/11 • Bobbin wound with bobbin thread
• Snips or thread trimming scissors • Point Turner Embroidery Machine
• Embroidery Hoop (Large enough for 5.5” square design)
