Intro to Patchwork + Quilting
Interested in learning the basics of quilting without the pressure or commitment of making an entire quilt?
Try your hand at patchwork and quilting with our Intro to Patchwork and Quilting class, in which you'll, learn the entire quilting process while making a fun and manageable project Students will make an 18" x 18" patchwork pillow that they can use to proudly dress up a favorite chair or gift to a loved one.
In this class, students will tackle simple patchwork, make a "quilt sandwich", quilt their patchwork piece, square and trim technique, and finish it off with binding. Students will make a simple envelope pillow back. Pre-cut project allows you to dive right in to the quilting process. (Rotary Cutting is not required for this session.)
You'll fall in love with quilting, gaining the skills and confidence you need to move on to a full quilt!
Supplies Required: Students must purchase a Homebody Pillow Kit for this class. Kits include: fabrics pre-cut to the required sizes, batting, muslin, fabric for pillow back and thread to match for quilting. Kits are available in several colorways - browse Project Kit selections here: TBD

Sewing Machine: It is best to use your own machine so you can familiarize yourself with the machine you will be using on future projects.
If you do not have a machine and are trying out sewing for the first time, let us know and we will set one up for you free for this class.
