Zipper Pouch - In the Hoop

Take a Peek! Zipper Pouch CD
The Take A Peek! Zipper Pouches are made from Sweet as Candy Colored Vinyl, Embroidery Leather, and colorful Zippers. Each size features its own unique quilting pattern and is fully lined, stitched in two hoopings, and finished on a sewing machine!
Supplies:
- Don’t forget to print out instructions and put design on USB stick
- Hoops big enough for the size pouch you are making
- Wash away Stabilizer (I used Aquamesh)
- Colored Vinyl or Clear Vinyl
- Zipper (I used Kimberbell Lace Zippers or Lori Holt Zippers)
- Embroidery Leather
- Fabric and batting (if using instead of leather) – Amount of fabric/batting depends on size of pouch you are making. See pattern for fabric size. I used fat quarters and had more than enough. You will need the same size batting as fabric
- Paper tape
- Thread
- Matching or contrasting thread for leather/fabric and matching bobbin thread
- Neutral thread and matching bobbin thread
- Thread and matching bobbin thread to match zipper
- Clips (because you can’t use pins on vinyl and leather
- Frixion pen that will show up when marking zipper
- Ruler, rotary cutter, embroidery scissors and general sewing supplies used for embroidery
- Pressing cloth
NOTE: Project is done in 2 hoopings and finished on a sewing machine. If your machine does both sewing & embroidery, bring regular sewing feet and a ¼” foot. You can also use one of the sewing machines at the shop.
