September 2, 2016
Labor Day is upon us and for many of us that means the end of Summer, school starts and traveling comes to an end. So must the Row by Row Experience of 2016 - Home Sweet Home. Phyllis Thompson was the winner for our store and her quilt is beautiful. She made great use of the license plates to identify each row of her favorite local quilt shops. Of course City's Edge was one of them! Her quilt has been here for quite awhile and is pictured below, but if you haven't seen it yet come on in and see it in person - it will only be in the store through this weekend and then like this Summer - it will be gone. We still have some of the Row by Row patterns and fabrics available - get them while you can if you haven't finished your quilt yet.
Labor Day - We will be closed on Monday Sept. 5th for Labor Day observation. We hope that everyone has a fun and safe weekend with family and friends.
Classes at City's Edge are beginning new sessions in September. There's still time to join Kim Diehl's Simple Whatnot's Club, it meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month 1-4p. We are starting a Beginning Paper Piecing Class on September 22, which will meet on Thursday mornings 9a - 12N. Quilt as you go is back - we are making Beaded Curtain - get a kit with your own fabric choices or bring your own. See all the fun stuff at our website.
Pre-cut BOM! What is that? We are making pre-cut blocks in 4 colorways. They are cut on our Accuquilt Die Cutter and go together so easy. No cutting - just put together beautiful blocks for only $4 each. You can get multiples of each block to create quilts quicker or work at a steady pace. This is an on-going BOM and you can join at any time. We can ship them to you if you want to participate from out of town. There is no setting to purchase with these blocks. Create your own or join us in October for setting demonstrations. They will be posted on our website soon for October.
Classes Now is the time to sign up for Classes and Clubs starting in September. Early Sign-ups ensures we have patterns and materials needed for each participant.
Kim Diehl's Simple Whatnot's Club. Meets the second Tuesday each month for 6 months beginning Sept. 13, 1-4pm. Receive patterns for 6 small projects plus a bonus project pattern. Discounts on Kim Diehl's fabrics and books for participants.
