August 15, 2016
I can't believe that Summer is almost over. It's been hot and this week with temperatures in the 80's will be a nice reprieve from the temperatures of this past month. Even the lake waters offered little coolness from the heat. Our Christmas in July focus for Holiday Projects, thinking of a cold Winter's day and snuggling under a quilt ... at 100 degrees....makes it a little hard to focus on anything. Fall brings Festivals and Quilt Shows to help get our creative juices going so be on the look out.. I will be attending several this Fall myself. Spoonbill Quilt Guild Show in Warsaw, MO will be at the Overlook starting August 19 through Labor Day. Ozark Piecemakers Quilt Show in Springfield MO, September 8-10, Starlight Quilt Guild, Shawnee Kansas, October 7 &8, Stover Christmas Gathering November 4 &5. Alot is going on.
